For parents and learners
California course plan
A flexible path from permit study to supervised road-test practice. Follow each block at your own pace; class dates and paid lesson details have not been announced.
Lesson plan
Nine short handbook lessons, four permit practice tests and 14 scored driving scenes.
- 01
Study block 1
Permit foundations
Read each handbook lesson, answer its five-question check, then take Practice Test 1. Review every missed choice before retaking it.
- 02
Study block 2
Sharing the road
Practise right of way, turns and space management. Take Practice Test 2 and revisit the relevant handbook pages.
- 03
Study block 3
Vehicle control and judgment
Study parking, traction and safe decisions. Take Practice Tests 3 and 4, and write down the topics that need more work.
- 04
After permit eligibility
Supervised behind-the-wheel practice
Rehearse the 3D scenarios, then practise the missed checks in a real car with a qualified supervising driver. Repeat until your observations and control are consistent.
From screen to road
Each scene connects to its handbook lesson and a real-car exercise for missed checks. Practise only with a valid permit and appropriate supervision. The California Driver's Handbook says permit holders practise with a California-licensed driver at least 18 years old, or at least 25 for minors, sitting close enough to take control.
